Anonymous asked: (continued) every time I've tried to express my interest or offer my help, it's as if I'm just doing it to "get in with the band". Besides the obvious “don’t sleep around”, are their more ways to ensure that you’re taken seriously in a business that seems to constantly proclaim being a dude only world?

It’s definitely difficult, some dudes just refuse to take any woman in the industry seriously. I would recommend dressing more androgynously, not a lot of make up and friend-zoning yourself. I like when my friends kinda forget that I’m a girl, they’ll call you dude and stuff like that. Respect and believe in yourself and be confident. Don’t post things online about needing men or being sexually frustrated or post about how sexy (guy in band) is.
